1. Stop The Shows

No shows are killer No.1 when it comes to lost revenue. Super frustrating when you reserve time for someone, disappoint other clients and there's a hole in your schedule.

To avoid no-shows and generate more revenue on a day, it's important to have a good policy. Be clear about the consequences by having a clear cancellation policy.

  • Put in the confirmation and reminder what your policy is regarding cancellation or rescheduling.

  • Send a reminder 48 to 24 hours in advance and give the customer one day to reschedule or cancel the appointment free of charge.

  • Does the client cancel within 24 hours before the appointment? Then you can charge 50% to 100% of the treatment.

If you communicate this clearly in the confirmation and reminder, you will find that clients will not fall over this later and you will have far fewer no shows.

Furthermore, you can work with a down payment or have the entire amount paid in advance. When you go to the cinema or festival, you also pay in advance, right? So it's not that uncommon.

If you go to the cinema or a festival, you also pay in advance. So why should you not ask for a down payment?

2. Prices under the microscope

All costs go up every year. Therefore, the prices in your salon cannot be left behind and must also be adjusted regularly to make the same or more sales.

It may feel awkward to adjust your prices, yet your clients will understand. After all, their own utility bills and grocery costs are also going up by leaps and bounds.

Consider a price increase of 5 to 10% per service, depending on the treatment. Inform your customers in time, however, so that the price increase will not be an unpleasant surprise.

Have you not yet implemented a price increase this year? After the summer vacations is an excellent time to adjust your prices, and you can announce it now.

Mrs.Highbrow Brow Fix creates fluffy brushed-up brows. A similar effect you get with Brow Lamination. Therefore, a perfect product to sell to clients who have just had a brow lamination. Want to know more about becoming a reseller? Email to sales@mrshighbrow.com

3. Reselling With Make-Up

We all know that owning a salon is hard work. Even if you have four treatment chairs and they are always filled, at some point you are at the max if you can't fit more chairs. So how nice is it when you can increase your daily turnover by making additional sales. So that a customer not only buys a treatment, but also a product.

Do offer products that match the treatments you give. For example, jewelry or other accessories will often not do as well in a beauty salon. Customers come for a particular treatment, and generally they are really only interested in products that prolong the effect of the treatment. Because you focus on Henna Brows, Lash Lifts or Brow Lamination, for example, makeup products that go with these treatments will often sell well, allowing you to make more sales.

Do you also want more sales? Order now for only €299 the make-up display including 2 makeup sets (a total of 30 products). That way you can start as a reseller tomorrow!

Only sell products that match the treatments you offer, such as skincare or makeup.

4. Buy Smart For More Sales

It's good to look at how you can earn more in a day, but also how you can save money. From your energy bill to the coffee you serve, make sure you pay attention to costs.

  • Don't set your heating too high. Not that your customers need to be cold, but it doesn't have to be temperature sauna either. Is someone still cold? Then provide a nice blanket.
  • Master Kits may seem expensive(er), but there's a lot of discount on them, so you end up paying much less per product and thus keep more on a treatment.

  • Are you already a reseller of Mrs.Highbrow makeup? If you order 9 items/colors, you get a free tester. That way you can resell all the makeup you purchase, and you don't "waste" items on testers.

  • Go for sustainable products. The Silicone Tool is a bit of a bigger investment once, but it lasts a long time, so you don't have to keep buying disposable applicators.

5. A Tidy Workplace

With an uncluttered workstation, you have less to look for stuff and therefore can perform your treatments faster. A display with all your products on the table next to your treatment chair is a great option for working in a tidy and clean way.

Mrs.Highbrow not only sells a Makeup Display, but also a Brow Lamination Display and Lash Lift Display. Not only convenient, but also a real eye-catcher! This way your clients will immediately see that you work neatly and that you perform these treatments.

The displays are handmade in the Netherlands and cost €69. If you order them with contents, you will receive a high discount. Count your profit!

6. Communicate Clearly

It may sound logical, but be clear in your communication. Because by clearly stating in advance what you are going to do or how much something costs, you avoid hassles afterwards. Otherwise, all you're doing is trying to satisfy customers and solve problems, which can take up a lot of time.

With a clear and concise price list, you are safe in that respect at least. But especially important is to communicate well during treatment. If you see that a client has fairly stiff lashes and she insists on a Brow Lamination, be clear that the result may be slightly different than she initially hopes. Therefore, communicate this well before and during the treatment.

7. Time-Saving Products

To work faster, you need efficient products. When developing new products, this is one of our priorities at Mrs.Highbrow. One product that helps you save time during your treatments is the Lash Elevation Brush. This is the latest mush-have for the perfect Lash Lift.

The Lash Elevation Brush has fine, dense bristles that are gentle on lashes, yet super effective at separating and attaching each lash to the lifting shield. As a result, you'll work faster and have more sales. Bonus: you also get the most beautiful results with it.
