1. Stop The Shows
No shows are killer No.1 when it comes to lost revenue. Super frustrating when you reserve time for someone, disappoint other clients and there's a hole in your schedule.
To avoid no-shows and generate more revenue on a day, it's important to have a good policy. Be clear about the consequences by having a clear cancellation policy.
- Put in the confirmation and reminder what your policy is regarding cancellation or rescheduling.
- Send a reminder 48 to 24 hours in advance and give the customer one day to reschedule or cancel the appointment free of charge.
- Does the client cancel within 24 hours before the appointment? Then you can charge 50% to 100% of the treatment.
If you communicate this clearly in the confirmation and reminder, you will find that clients will not fall over this later and you will have far fewer no shows.

2. Prices under the microscope
All costs go up every year. Therefore, the prices in your salon cannot be left behind and must also be adjusted regularly to make the same or more sales.
It may feel awkward to adjust your prices, yet your clients will understand. After all, their own utility bills and grocery costs are also going up by leaps and bounds.
Consider a price increase of 5 to 10% per service, depending on the treatment. Inform your customers in time, however, so that the price increase will not be an unpleasant surprise.

It's good to look at how you can earn more in a day, but also how you can save money. From your energy bill to the coffee you serve, make sure you pay attention to costs.
- Don't set your heating too high. Not that your customers need to be cold, but it doesn't have to be temperature sauna either. Is someone still cold? Then provide a nice blanket.

6. Communicate Clearly
It may sound logical, but be clear in your communication. Because by clearly stating in advance what you are going to do or how much something costs, you avoid hassles afterwards. Otherwise, all you're doing is trying to satisfy customers and solve problems, which can take up a lot of time.
With a clear and concise price list, you are safe in that respect at least. But especially important is to communicate well during treatment.
