Henna In The Mix

If you are going to apply Dyōtics brow henna, it is important that the mixture has the right thickness. But what exactly is the perfect mixture? Let us explain!

There is a measuring spoon in each box or starter package. Put 1 scoop in a plastic or glass container (do not use a metal container, as this can cause the henna to oxidize) and add approx. 12 drops of warm to hot tap water. You can use the included pipette for this. This amount is good for two "normal" eyebrows. If someone has larger brows, you may need 1.5 to 2 scoops. Stir well until an even paste. Sometimes there are some grains in it. You can crush these with a microbrush.

Let it set for a while

When you have prepared the henna, let the paste stand for another 5-10 minutes so that it can develop properly. Any grains will also dissolve better. If you start tinting immediately, the henna can sometimes have a somewhat greenish glow. Especially the cool shades, such as Taupe and Ash Brown. That is also why it is important to dilute the henna with warm water. Then the paste develops faster.

How thick should henna paste be?

The henna paste should not be too watery, but certainly not too thick. If it runs off your brush, it is definitely too thin. Doesn't spread nicely? Then it is too thick. Okay a little more concrete. Compare to the thickness of ketchup or mayonnaise. Watch the video below to see the perfect mixture.
