Film Wax Gold is gentle, flexible and specially developed for precise waxing of the brows, face and entire body. It sets within 5–6 seconds and is suitable for both beginner and experienced brow stylists. For perfectly defined brows and smooth skin.

Use

  • Heat the wax to a honey-like consistency. The wax should not be too thick or too runny.
  • Cleanse the skin with Get Set Pre Epilation Gel to remove oil and make-up residue.
  • Check the temperature of the wax on your wrist. Then, using a spatula, apply a thin layer of wax in the direction of hair growth. Leave the end slightly thicker for easy removal.
  • Allow the wax to harden for 5-6 seconds, pull the skin taut and quickly remove the wax against the direction of hair growth.
  • Finally, soothe the skin with a gel such as Cool Down After Epilation Gel to reduce any redness.

    Step 1

    Make sure the wax is the right temperature. The wax should not be too liquid (then the wax is too hot), but also not too thick. Start with the area between the eyebrows.

  • Step 2

    Wait 5-6 seconds and press the wax firmly. Pull the skin tight between your thumb and forefinger and remove the wax layer over the skin.

  • Step 3

    Apply a layer of wax to the top, from the nose to the outside.

  • Step 4

    Provide a tab at the end to make it easier to grab and remove the wax.

  • Step 5

    Wax the underside, keeping your spatula turned a quarter turn so you don't get too much on the eyelid. Work them entire brow.

Can you also remove your wax with a strip?

Mrs.Highbrow wax is a so called Film Wax. It is applied to the skin using a spatula, after which the wax hardens on the skin.

Once the wax has hardened, it can easily be removed with your fingers, without using strips.

When does Film Wax have the right temperature?

To check the temperature of Mrs.Highbrow Film Wax, follow these steps: Dip a spatula into the wax, then remove it and turn the spatula half a turn. If the wax drips off the spatula, it is too hot. Additionally, ensure that the wax is not too viscous, as this indicates it is too cool. If you're uncertain about the temperature, test the wax on your wrist before use.

What is the difference between your waxes?

Mrs.Highbrow offers three types of wax in its range: Film Wax Gold, Sparkling Blue and Film Wax Azulene. Film Wax Gold is the most commonly used wax suitable for both the face and the entire body. On the other hand, Film Wax Azulene requires more experience. Due to its quick curing time, any mistakes are not easily correctable. Additionally, the wax has a more fluid consistency compared to the gold wax, requiring extra caution when working with it. Therefore, it's recommended to feel confident enough before starting to work with Film Wax Azulene.
