Does your Brow Lamination not last? Often this comes down to technique, hair type or aftercare. Read here how to ensure a long-lasting and professional result.

Brow Lamination is a chemical treatment in which you temporarily change the natural structure of the hair. This requires a careful analysis of the hair type, correct processing times and clear instructions for your client. Here are 6 reasons why a Brow Lamination may not take properly.

1. The hairs are too short or too coarse

Not every hair type is suitable for an extremely fluffy result.

  • Very short hairs hold their shape less effectively

  • Strong downward-growing hairs require a longer processing time

  • Very coarse hair can spring back more quickly

Important: manage expectations beforehand. Not every brow will turn into an Instagram brow.

2. The processing time was too short

Thick or coarse hairs need more time than fine hairs. If you use a standard processing time for every client, the results are less likely to last.

Solution:

  • Analyse the hair thickness before you start

  • During step 1, check the elasticity using the Flex Check

  • Adjust the processing time for each individual client

3. Insufficient cleansing beforehand

Make-up residue, sebum or oil reduce the effectiveness of the products.

4. The client expects it to stay in place on its own

This is a common misunderstanding: Brow Lamination does not mean the hairs will stay perfectly in place without styling.

Clients need to brush their brows upwards every morning to maintain the effect. Without styling, the hairs will fall back into their natural direction more quickly.

Make sure to explain this clearly during the treatment.

After opening, the Brow Lamination Pens remain effective for 3 months.

5. Shelf Life and Product Use

Always check the expiry date of your products. After opening, the Brow Lamination Pens can be used for up to 3 months. Lash & Brow Lift sachets must be used within 24 hours of opening.

Do not use products that are out of date or have been stored incorrectly. Reduced effectiveness can directly affect the final result.

6. Aftercare Is Not Followed

For optimal results:

  • No water or steam for 24 hours

  • No oil-based products around the eyebrows

  • Brush into shape daily
