How long do the results last?
The effect is visible on the skin for 7 days and up to 6 weeks on the brow hairs.
The duration of the intensity depens on the skin type of your client, the used products, the prep and the aftercare. On oily skin the powder effect disappears much quicker than on dry skin. Use our skin prep lotion for treatments with clean, dry skin surfaces. This makes the intensity of the color last much longer.
Which products do I need to start?
For starters we recommend our airbrush machine, Powerstain liquid dye and the airbrush activator. The airbrush starterset has all the products you need to start. If you want to learn how to work with stencils and the right techniques, then try our professional course including a starter set.
What does the PowerStain Liquid Dye do and what is the Airbrush Activator used for?
PowerStain Liquid Dye is the liquid colour formula that is applied to the brows using the airbrush machine. The Airbrush Activator activates the dye and helps it adhere to the skin.
PowerStain Liquid Dye is available in six shades, ranging from light tones such as Cool Mist, Desert Sand and Ginger Snap to darker shades such as Muddy Mocha, Coffee Bean and Velvet Noir. This makes it easy to match different hair colours and skin tones.
The Airbrush Activator is mixed with the dye inside the machine. Without the activator, the colour will not adhere as well and the results will not last as long.
Do I need to take a course before offering this treatment?
It is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended, especially if you do not yet have experience with airbrush techniques.
The Airbrush Brows Course is an online training programme where you learn how to set up the machine correctly, mix the colour, use stencils and achieve consistent results. Working with an airbrush requires a different technique than working with a brush. The distance, pressure and movement all influence the final result.
A solid foundation helps prevent product waste and gives you the confidence to offer the treatment professionally right away.
Can Airbrush Brows be combined with other treatments?
Yes, and that is exactly where the technique stands out.
Airbrush Brows works very well in combination with brow lamination, waxing or threading for a complete brow treatment. When you laminate the brows first, the hairs are already set in the desired direction. You can then use the airbrush to add colour and shape for a fully finished result.
This allows you to offer a premium treatment that encourages clients to return to your salon.
